Talib Kweli portrays himself as an advocate for black people but his harassment this week of Maya Moody illustrates that Kweli it one of the internets most dangerous cyber bullies for people of color. “Talib Kweli has been on a week-long harassment spree directed at me via Twitter and Instagram, which has led his followers threatening to murder my family and I for this tweet,” she stated.
Whether you disagree with Kweli ideologically or some other perceived sleight, expect to be attacked by him and his legions of followers.
Kweli was accused of sexual harassment by his former artist Res in 2018.
For someone who claims to be an advocate for people of color, the rapper sure has a shoddy record of encroaching on the personal boundaries of black women.
The pattern seems to be clear, Kweli is accused and he mobilizes his rabid online fanbase to cyber bully the person accusing him!!
For instance in 2017 when Metasota accused Kweli of harassing a woman during the Ferguson protests , the rapper went into a rant against the entire Minnesota rap scene.
Perhaps, the question should be why Kweli is allowed to continue cyber bullying his victims into silence and why Twitter hasn’t done anything about it?
