Trump Calls Steve Kerr ‘little boy’ Over NBA China Silence
On October 4th before the start of the 2019-20 NBA regular season (October 22nd), the league finds itself involved in a controversial situation with China which stems from a deleted tweet from American sports executive and Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey. In the tweet, Morey offered support to protesters in Hong Kong who are currently involved in demonstrations that began in opposition to controversial proposed legislation.
Morey’s tweet was met with considerable backlash from Chinese authorities, while several different parties, from NBA commissioner Adam Silver to Sen. Ted Cruz, have given their opinion on the issue. Steve Kerr who has been vocal in the past about criticizing President Trump was recently called out for Kerr’s sheepish response when asked about the issue. Is Kerr the latest liberal coward?
