Author, educator and sociologist, Jim Blissitt III has a new book dropping on September 25 called “Whatever Happened to the Boy That Played Basketball All Night” and hopes to serve as a source of inspiration for your children. As a parent I would definitely recommend this book because it is based on Jim’s own experiences as a Senior Level Administrator with the Chicago Public School System and he took his own love of the sport and incorporated it into this awesome children’s book.
The book is about a boy who overcomes loneliness through basketball. I commend Jim on his creativity but also initiative to create a positive example for the youth. Chicago is a city that is often depicted in the mainstream media as being plagued by crime but Jim is an example of someone who is changing that narrative.
