Whoever says Tuesdays night are slow is not getting in on some Scorching Hot Action! I’d say “Oh what a night!” but college ruined that Frankie Valli song for me so I’ll just exclaim “WOWZERZ!”
We went 3-2 on the night but could’ve easily went 4-1. The only call that was not in the mix was the Maple Leafs making the Avalanche the Flyers of the West handing Colorado their 8th loss in a row. Tied 1-1 after the 1st period the Avalanche obviously & unwisely took some Denver edibles before the 2nd period and Toronto took advantage putting up 3 goals en route to a 5-2 W. The rest of our NHL action came up huge as both the Bruins & St. Louis registered convincing victories as -200 faves!
While we grabbed some nice wins on the ice last night the most exciting action came on the college hardwood (no offense to Wild Bill’s E.D.). While Buffalo took a lead into halftime and kept that lead most of the 2nd half right around that 8 point spread, in the end those pesky Zips managed to close the gap and covering with a 6 point loss. Tough break for Chardonnay. Maybe try some MadDog 20/20 next time.
Jack came so close to going 2-0 on the night as BC won easily at home against Pitt covering the 3 points and keeping the Panthers losing streak going, a streak that will probably continue well beyond Purim. Jack’s Hogs nearly went completely HOG WILD for him losing right at the buzzer. A tight game against Missouri which the Tigers held a 4 to 6 point lead most of the latter portion of the second half, but the Razorbacks hung tough and even briefly took a 1 point lead in the closing minute. Down 1 with about 11 seconds left and Missouri inbounding, Arkansas got Missouri to commit an offense foul and took possession and had a chance for a game winner but their point guard totally screwed the pooch on the final play of the game and couldn’t even get a final shot off. OUCH.
I myself got caught up in all the college hoops action last night and made some late night wagers, winning two bets on some SCORCHING HOT Mountain West action hitting both the UNDER (145.5) and San Diego State MONEYLINE (-168) as they beat Colorado State in Fort Collins 71-60. CA-CHING!!
Tonight it’s all about our main man GRILL! He’s got 7 college hoops games in the mix, riding 6 teams on the road including 4 ROAD DAWGS. GRILL loves the Big East tonight and is offering up our first Over/Under. Do yourselves a favor, make yourself a nice cocktail and ride GRILL tonight!
