Movie Review: The Shallows

So this surfer lady is trying to find herself and she goes to this hidden Mexican beach where her dead Mom went when she was pregnant with her and she surfs there and then oh no there’s a shark and the shark is going to eat her and maybe she doesn’t want that. Some other people get eaten and also the shark is mad at people probably because it has a hook or something stuck in her mouth. Do you think she is going to be alive at the end of the movie?

I wasn’t really interested in the character. She wad sort of dumb (even though she was almost done with nursing school). Since she was mostly alone you have to care about her and I didn’t. She talked to a bird. You know she was a good person because she fixed it’s wing. So that’s nice.

Interesting/ good use of technology /texts / face phone calls. It’s got that going for it.

Thanks for making me startle out of my seat that one time. That was nice.

She is nice too look at. The CGI is decent. There is a decent amount of it and it is done fine.

This movie doesn’t understand how ocean tides work. If they didn’t make a big deal about it I wouldn’t have cared but they did and got it wrong so screw ’em.

TLDR: 1.5/5. I didn’t like this movie and I don’t think it was worth my time.
