Movie Review: Green Room
This was another movie I went in knowing not all that much about. I knew it had Patrick Stewart and it involved skinheads somehow.
This down on their luck punk band traveling the country in a van is out of cash. They wind up with this gig to play a show for a group that turns out to be nazi skin heads. Then some fucked up shit happens and they can’t leave.
I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I was so anxious my stomach was in knots. The thing about independent movies like this one is that you have no idea where they are going to go. Big studio pictures always have to have a happy ending of some sort. I had no idea where this one would go. Very violent and also realistic.
This one was nuts. I loved this movie. I definitely need to give this one another look.
The guy who made this movie also made a movie called Blue Ruin. Blue Ruin is also was fantastic. Its about a drifter who is looking to get revenge. Realistic and a slow build. You might have to send away for a disc of this one but it is worth a watch for sure.
TLDR: 5/5. Suspenseful violent film that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
