Movie Review: Sing Street

Will this one have you singing… in the road? -Steven Richard K

Sing Street is about a group of teenagers in 80s Ireland that decide to start a band. There is a romance and family drama. Add music and boom you’ve got a movie.

This movie is pretty darn cute. The characters are cute and watching them interact was fun. The songs they make are catchy as hell and very good. If the music wasn’t as good as it was in this movie it wouldn’t be half the movie it is. A couple days later and one of the songs is stuck in my head.

They simultaneously shat on the idea of nostalgia while making a nostalgic movie. Well played? Maybe?

Sing Street is in limited release now.

TLDR: 3/5. Not a good movie per se but very enjoyable and the songs are good. I liked it and I think most people will as well.
