Celebrity Douchebags Volume 3: Gwyneth Paltrow knows it all!

Gwyneth Paltrow is a successful Hollywood actress. As a person, she is definitely an annoyance. However, there is something about her that separates her from the common Hollywood douchebag. From her comments, it's painfully obviously just how pretentious & detached she is from the common person.

Oh boy. Ever seen someone talk on television and you wish someone would just slap them across the face? That’s how I feel about Gwyneth Paltrow. I will give her credit. She doesn’t run her mouth like  Russell Crowe. I haven’t seen really any set reports of her being a brat. I’ve only heard little rumblings of her and Scarlet Johannsen not getting along on the set of “Iron Man 2” So what makes her a different kind of D-bag?

While I’m sure most Hollywood actors and actresses can in no way relate to us common folk, Gwyneth Paltrow tries to relate and looks horrible doing it with out any realization that her lifestyle has nothing in common with most people.  For example, her comments about Paris.

“When you go to Paris and your concierge sends you to some restaurant because they get a kickback, it’s like, ‘No. Where should I really be? Where is the great bar with organic wine? Where do I get a bikini wax in Paris?” – dlisted

Nevermind that some people might not be able to afford such a trip or get the time off work to go. Hell, some people would just be happy with just going. Don’t you just hate when you can’t find good organic wine though!?

Also another personal favorite of mine from the same source…

“We have great dinner parties at which everyone sits around talking about politics, history, art and literature—all this peppered with really funny jokes. But back in America, I was at a party and a girl looked at me and said, ‘Oh, my God! Are those Juicy jeans that you’re wearing?’ and I thought, I can’t stay here. I have to get back to Europe.”

mmm I am sooo sophisticated. Hey, bring me my organic wine!

I know I love showing how sophisticated I am in Europe don’t you!?

At a 2014 tech conference, Gwyneth compaired reading nasty things about herself on the web to warfare…

You come across [online comments] about yourself and about your friends, and it’s a very dehumanizing thing,” So far, nothing wrong with this statement.  Paltrow goes on. “It’s almost like how, in war, you go through this bloody, dehumanizing thing … My hope is, as we get out of it, we’ll reach the next level of conscience.” – Re/code  Um, no its not! It’s nothing like warfare Gwyneth!!

In early 2015 Paltrow took part in the NYC Food Bank Challenge. For this challenge, Paltrow would try to live off of $29 dollars for the week. I get what this is all about. Its to raise awareness on how difficult it is for a family of four to survive on a food stamp budget.

WTF am I going to do with seven limes Gwyneth!?

When celebrities do something like this, I can see it taken two different ways. On one hand, they will never have any idea what its like. So I can see how someone struggling might get frustrated and think a celebrity might view this as some type of “can you be poor for a week” game. On the other hand, people unfortunately care what celebrities are saying and if a celebrity wants to back a certain cause, people will pay attention and follow along.

I’m not sure if she speaks her mind like an idiot because she doesn’t care or if she truly is clueless. No matter which way you slice it, Paltrow is a very detached person. I wouldn’t put her as high up on my list as some, but she certainly deserves to be on it.
